評議會之職權​ Authority and Responsibility of the Council

評議會乃負責學生會一切立法及監察事宜之權力機構，根據本會會章第六章，其主要權責包括：

  • 維護本會會員之權益；
  • 審議本會屬下各組織之章則及職權範圍；
  • 成立專責委員會；
  • 擁有本會財務之決策權；
  • 處理各中央組織成員之辭職；
  • 於評議會會議中對本會任何組織之委員或幹事提出遺憾議案；
  • 於評議會會議中對本會任何組織之委員或幹事提出不信任議案；
  • 核准仲裁委員會仲裁員之任命等。

The Union Council shall be the legislative and supervisory body of the Union. According to the CityUSU Constitution Chapter VI, the major authority and responsibilities of the Union Council are as follows:

  • To safeguard the rights and privileges of Union members;
  • To approve the Constitution and Terms of references of subsidiary organizations of the Union;
  • To establish ad hoc committees;
  • To control financial matters of the Union;
  • To accept resignation of any committee or member of the central organizations;
  • To carry a motion of regret against any official or committee member of any organization within the Students' Union at a Council Meeting;
  • To carry a vote of non-confidence against any official or committee member of any organization within the Students' Union at a Council Meeting;
  • To approve the appointment of arbitrator(s) of the Arbitration Committee and etc.
